Applied Environmental Epidemiology

The course will be of value to those interested in the practice and application of the concepts, tools and techniques specific to environmental epidemiology and how they can be used in day-to-day work and practice. In particular, it will cover the study designs used in environmental epidemiology research: ecologic studies, cross-sectional studies, case-control studies and cohort studies. Allan will conclude the course with a special lecture on "The danger of epidemiology scratching beneath its limits in low exposure environmental health research".

Attendees will need to have an understanding of basic epidemiology.
